Favorite video game?
Re: Favorite video game?
I'm not great at choosing a singular favourite but it's probably MOTHER 3. honorable mentions include the nier games, heaven will be mine, everhood, good old undertale, and others I can't think of rn. recently been playing through all the mainline final fantasies and I've been having a blast, ix is my favourite so far

If we're counting my favorite game as the one I play the most, it's got to be TES: Skyrim or Minecraft. I play those two pretty consistently throughout the year, every year.
It's the mod-ability that always draws me back in.
Besides playtime, however, it's super hard to pick a favorite since I've played so many and I have a bad memory haha
Outer Wilds was extremely good. It changed me when I finished, though I haven't yet got the chance to play the DLCs..

oh man. i've had so many favorites over the years.
my longest standing favorite is, of course, pokemon mystery dungeon: explorers of sky. the difficulty is just right for me, and also i have kin feelings about this game. the true start of me being vulpixkin HAHA
my most recent favorite is hi-fi rush! i love the game loop, i love photo mode, i love the characters. i like how people who aren't really rhythmically gifted can still play and enjoy the game's plot, however simple it may be. that's also where the characters in my signature are from! i like their punk outfits.

My dragon was named sparky!! Probably over some dog movie dog I'd watched at the time X).
Now this got me thinking about replaying dragonology ds... My old ds is thankfully still working well and I'm pretty sure I could beat the game in 2 hours now!
Also, you're in luck!

This is really difficult...but if I really had to choose one I honestly might say something like Bloodborne or RE4 (Original), at the same time though I love my strategy games and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones holds a very special place in my heart. JRPG's in general like Final Fantasy 6 had a strangle hold on me through childhood. Metal Gear.Solid 3 actually genuinely was very fundamental to my upbringing dhakdjakjda. This isn't even counting the countless RPGmaker + indie games that genuinely shaped my tastes as I grew up and even now still challenge me in their presentation and the ideas they bring forth. (LISA: the painful, End Roll, Fear & Hunger 1 & 2)
I don't know if I could choose one game since so many have really genuinely stayed with me throughout the years.

This is a real tough once as its usually ever shifting for me but theres a few games that always float near the top:
Rollercoaster tycoon 2 is a game i've played on and off for almost my entire life, and it never gets old.
Yakuza 0 rocked my world and made me realise a genre of video game i'd been missing out on for a Long while
and Lost Judgment polished that idea that Yakuza 0 gave me.

most likely this kinda obscure indie called la-mulana. it was actually one of the first! its a 2d metroidvania about exploring ruins and slowly piecing together its history. its very difficult and punishing though, you kinda need a guide for it unless you dont mind progressing slowly
but its very inspiring to me and id love to make something like it someday...
if not that then maybe the patapon series of rhythm games which im in the middle of playing for the first time since i didnt have a psp as a kid.... i have a feeling my favorite game is gonna change soon though since im starting to play games more often again lol
