What does Google [bot] do?

Hopefully it’s not actually a person but I just noticed it in the main forum! I tried clicking it (on mobile) and no profile showed up so I assume it’s actually a bot!

There’s also Bing [Bot] and a lot more others. It’s a PHPBB thing, all the other PHPBB forums have those bots as well

My guess? it’s the google bot indexing the forum for it’s search engine
