tabletop stories thread i guess

As a player:
In my DnD game last Wednesday, our party encountered a large group of compys, and one of the characters (who was very min-maxed) immediately recognized the danger and fled, causing the rest of our player characters to flee as well. Eventually, someone climbed up a tree and set the forest on fire, killing all the compys (which was honestly one of our least crazy ideas), and we all somehow got out without any injuries.
Also, I should note: we’re playing as (retired) familiars in this campaign
