What was your childhood board game?

Just for fun: What was the board game you played the most when you were younger?
I always played
Candyland or
Chutes and Ladders with my brother. We loved the art on the boards haha
I did have a few friends whose family played Monopoly often, or even card games, so I'm curious about what y'all played

I am the champ at Uno and Sorry
And also the Dragon that always wins Monopoly (as expected)
But my favorite “board game” I’ve had was when I found a complete set of
Hero’s Quest by a dumpster
I played the crap out of that, making so many custom levels, and new pieces out of notecards and whatnot.
I don’t know what happened to it, but I do know if I want to buy what I had again, average price was $250 on eBay

Woah! I hadn't heard of Hero's Quest before so I searched it up, and it honestly looks so fun
Kind of like a more visualized dungeon with all the pieces and the customizable room options. I'm curious on how difficult the system was to play ?
It sucks that it's so expensive now, though
That's the kind of thing I'd go to garage sales looking for haha.
I wonder if it'd be worth it to create the pieces and board yourself? Though I guess at that point I figure another TTRPG would suffice depending on the effort willing to be spent
Plus the box art looks super cool

My absolute board game of choice has always been, to the detriment of everyone around me, Trivial Pursuit
I fucking love trivia
Unfortunately, nobody else around me loves trivia :(

OH i remember having some trivial pursuit games when I was around 6! I had no one to play them with and... I was 6 and my entire noggin was dedicated to animals, dragons, cartoons and chocolate bars, so I almost never got any question right, but I just kept making up the answers and amusing myself that way xD
(Also does checkers and domino count as board games xP? I loved and love those two!
)

I have never been good at Trivial Pursuit. Knowing little things about everything has always been . .. TRIVIAL . .. to me. Not my strong suit.

I’d count it! while Dominos doesn’t have a board per say, it still shares the same spirit as a board game; if Uno counts then Dominos counts

Oh you may enjoy my homemade Uno game then. I call it-
UNO AGRESIVO
What is it? Well it’s two decks worth of number cards, and three decks worth of action cards; In other words, 3/5 cards are action and 2/5 cards are numbers. It’s so very hectic . …

I'd spend a weekend at my dad's place every month or so, and he has a HUGE hoard of boardgames. I actually helped count them once while we were moving them out of the basement when it got flooded and mold was getting everywhere, and the total was over 500 unique boardgames!!!
But, out of all of them, THIS was my favorite... GRIND!!!!!!!!
It's basically soccer, except the players are huge hulking robots with configurable frames and weapons on their arms, the field is a steel pit over a lava lake, and the ball is even bigger than the robots, completely metal, and covered in spikes. Not only is the premise cool, but it came with some of the best mini figs I've ever seen, the arms having little ball socket joints that could pop in and out to give different bots different weapons that had unique abilities. It also was one of the most fun sandboxes I've ever played with that wasn't a videogame or a ttrpg, I will never ever forget this game!!!!

I would
very much like to play UNO AGRESIVO, please and thank you
HELL I'll even suggest using those periphals that straight up launched the cards at you! Not sure which version of uno they came with, not sure what in the devil was going on with the ideas department when they came up with an uno assault weapon,
but i believe it could enhance the game
also im loving the concept of GRIND!! I believe giant robot death soccer would fix my bad views of the sport xD
