i always buy them from local art markets, and if 30% of them didn't immediately doxx me, i'd totally post pictures of my Deko Pack! which is. what i call the one backpack i customized to the nines :pensive:

WOAH thats an insanely impressive collection! I just did a quick count of the ones on my pinboard and jacket and im at around 70 myself
Mine are from all over the place, I always try to buy a pin from any place im visiting and I get a lot as gifts from friends and family. A notable chunk of mine are from the RSPB's line of badges that I usually find at garden centers.. I donate to a bird charity and get a bird pin. win win

70 is A LOT OF PINS too!!! Happy to meet another... P-pinhead? who ya calling pinhead <-(reference) Another pin badge enthusiast!

OOH I like my fair share of tourism pins too! Usually just from museums, because place pins are always so big and clunky they end up occupying a bit too much space on my bag.

The charity bird pins sound so cool!! I wish they existed here too. I know I'd be donating all the time just to collect all the pins!

IIIM DIRTY DAAN... pinheads unite
And yeah :pensive: most of my place pins are on my board as theyre a bit hard to arrange on a jacket, although I do have a boston pin thats a nice size, its shaped like the license plates over there
I managed to rustle up some pics of a few of my bird pins, most of these are from the rspb aside from the flamingo one (the charity only really makes pins of species endemic to the uk).

This one was a gift from a friend.. her last name meant sparrow in her language so she got me a house sparrow pin, its one of my cherished pins (you can tell its a house sparrow because it doesnt have a black spot on its cheek, like tree sparrows have)

Snowy owl.. this picture randomly became such bad quality for some reason. Its holding up an inkcap mushroom spore print :)

European green frog (which is somehow from the bird charity) and the flamingo:

Chaffinch my beloved.. I got this one from a fudge shop in my uni city

And last but not least, my beloved european blackbird:

I do have other bird pins that arent rspb related... i'll have to get pictures of them next

While trying to see if the rsbp did a hooded crow pin I found this cool website by an enthusiast who catalogues all the pins they've made.. but alas, no hooded crow.

Thats always the biggest issue with pins, I find , im always so scared of losing them that I dont put them on my work bag since it gets thrown around a lot. I know you can buy those locking pin backs with an allen key but my experience with them is.... mixed. If you tighten them too much they can damage the pin prong and not enough they end up falling off with a bit of jostling anyway :pensive:
I do like the idea of having a pin tapestry that you hang like a photo frame..

Those are all so cool!! I especially adore the tiger, if I saw it in brickspace I'd have to get it post-haste!
I feel you on the cardstock. I don't display them, but I do keep them safe! I didn't use to when I was younger, but I've learned the value of keeping tags and cardstock just so I know where something came from!

Much to my denmates' frustration, since it's more clutter I'm hoarding in my room... :nervous:
