Here's a collection of songs I've found with dragon in their title! And my own little review.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Dragon Queen
Funky indie pop song! I think it's fun! The distorted synth and vocals might be an acquired taste, but it's definitely a unique sound that I think works well
This band had a song in the Sims 3 too haha
Queen - Dragon Attack
Underrated Queen song from 1980! Maybe not as catchy, dramatic, or iconic as a lot of their other songs, but it's a good rock ballad with a great guitar solo halfway in and who doesn't want to hear a Queen song about dragons..?
Los Colognes - Golden Dragon Hut
Cute little downbeat/easy listening indie rock song! Themes of nostalgia, with no real connection to dragons aside from the title from a Chinese Restaurant sdfasd but it's a nice listen for sure!
Sisqó ft Beanie Sigel - Unleash The Dragon (radio edit)
A really fun 1999 rap/hip hop song that honestly sounds slightly ahead of its time imo. I think it's a good listen! Using a dragon to represent breaking into the industry, literally the first song on Sisqó's debut solo album. I linked the radio version since I'm not sure if I should be linking the other version sdfsd (it's nothing explicit, just heavily uses a word I can't say myself.)
Fallulah - Dragon (epilepsy warning for the video! lots of flashing)
Fast tempo power pop song, using a dragon as a metaphor for an abusive relationship.
Maybe not the best song for dragon fans, but honestly one of my faves from this list! It just feels really powerful and catchy. It made me check out Fallulah's other songs and I really love her music now c:
Symfobia - Dragon
Awesome symphonic metal ballad! I like it but don't have too much to say about it honestly sfads The band is Slovakian with a female lead singer which I think it fun and helps it stand out against a lot of the metal songs coming further down this list.
Symphony X - In The Dragon’s Den
Fast-paced progressive metal song! Despite the band name, it's not as symphonic as the song above, but still cool and powerful as ever c: Every part of the song feels distinct yet connected..which I suppose is why it's called progressive haha
The Beta Band - Dragon
2001 experimental rock..sort of minimalist, folktronica maybe? I'm not sure. Either way funky downbeat instrumentation going on, definitely an experience.
Two Steps From Hell - Dragon (feat. Úyanga Bold)
Instrumental piece with some Mongolian chants. I believe this song (well, the full album) was made for commercial use in TV shows and such but I couldn't tell you what if anything this song might be in.
Trivium - Becoming The Dragon
#Goals. Honestly glad metal gives us the positive dragon rep we deserve sdfasd literally this song is about the Magikarp to Gyarados thing!
But yeah, another metal song! Slower tempo than the other two, but considering it's metal, that's still not that slow haha. Really interesting vocal layering in some parts! A pretty fun song all in all, though my own preference is for the other styles of metal.
And Trivium's another band that's been in the Sims, featured multiple times in several games over the years actually!
Epica - Chasing the Dragon
I was expecting this song to be metal, but I don't think it qualifies. At all haha. Wikipedia does call the album symphonic metal but I would say it's just a nice, slow rock ballad with opera-esque vocals! Really pretty c:
oh ok the metal guitar comes in at 3 minutes. this is a live review sdfad it was metal all along! and this song is almost 8 minutes long omg didn't notice that. Still really pretty and more powerful than I thought at first! Oooh and at over 5 minutes the symphony kicks in. Getting faster,,definitely an epic metal ballad!!
Tomodachi Life - Dragon’s Fire
Tomodachi Life's "Metal" song that your miis can sing! Not many good recordings of the song with its default lyrics dsfasd but love the song anyway. The perfect metal song of course, at 1/16th the normal length of a metal song.
Trivium - In The Court Of The Dragon
Trivium again! Very metal vocals, faster paced than their other song. I think I prefer the other song, but this one's pretty cool too! Definitely a lot more like typical of what you'd think of for metal.
Floricienta - Un enorme dragón
An enormous dragon! 2005 Argentine ballad from a musical telenovela apparently. It's pretty enough, but it is a very slow mids 2000s pop ballad that just doesn't do much for me and I wouldn't feel any need to listen to it again outside of hoping a song with that title might be more fun than I remembered sdfasd
Would probably get a billion eurovision votes though. if Argentina was in Europe.
Sleep - Dragonaut
Cool title! Another song where my initial impression is this isn't actual metal, but Wikipedia calls the band 'stoner metal' which..maybe feels more fitting? Either way, pretty chill rock song, about exploring space while riding on a dragon..hell yeah. Literally so good. why can't every song be about dragons and exploring space.
Sodom - Magic Dragon
The final metal song I had written down for this. And from 1989, it's the oldest of the metal songs here too. It's got a slow tempo, which honestly seems to be more my speed when it comes to metal? It's got its fast parts too though haha. All in all, a fun look into metal's earlier roots! Metal songs about dragons have always been around and they are here to stay c:
Koto - Dragon's Legend
Another 80s song, this time much more synth driven. It's Italo-disco I love this genre so I just now decided to look up 'dragon italo disco' and see what came up and this is what I got haha. I know and love Koto's much more known song Visitors but this one is new to me...it's cheesy af which isn't unexpected for the genre but omggg the 80s fantasy commercial voiceovers. incredible. anyway lots of really fun 80s synth lines going on!! Definitely enjoying this in all its cheesiness.
Peter, Paul, and Mary - Puff, the Magic Dragon (suggestion from @Falcon !)
Definitely a classic, possibly one of the first pop songs about a dragon? Cute and folksy, love the relaxed vibes. Puff is such a sweet dragon and deserves the world c: and of course the sadness and inevitability of growing up..but of course I think all of us here agree dragons don't have to be left behind in childhood. Puff should be cherished forever.

Oooh, Welsh folk music!! I love Y Ddraig Goch c: This is soooo good, absolutely living for the dramatic violins. This song absolutely makes me feel ready to meet some dragons.

Vocaloid song time!! It's Miku!!! OOOh a song with some more amazing violin playing, it's really beautiful! Love the intense lyrics too, powerful imagery here!

a really cool spanish song from 2019! strong pop with brass and electro..slowish tempo, but good intensity. really cool and fun song!
and the refrain literally is "My dragon is my friend/It goes everywhere with me/It's fire is hot/It protects me, it makes me strong/My dragon, always near by/When I need it/It brings gold to my life/It opens my heart to happiness"

the dragon song of summer 2024 hell yeah..really fun dub-step-ish revival song. is that a fair way to describe it. anyway i love it, really fun and gets you pumping and also really beautiful instrumentation c:
