Day 6 of my Indigo Disk Countdown!
Now before I talk about today’s mons, I’m gonna bring something up. You might have realized that while this is the 6th drawing, Indigo Disk is gonna release tomorrow (and might already have released depending on your timezone). That’s because I forgot to start posting this at the time I was supposed to and was late by a day. So… oops.
Anyway, this is probably gonna be the most controversial pick for my team. From what I’ve seen, the fandom’s opinion of the Frigibax line has been pretty polarized (hehe) with a lot of people hating the design, but some people do like it, and those people include me.
I’m gonna be honest, I think this is the best route a Spinosaurus mon could’ve gone. Yes, they’re based on the outdated version of it, but as we figure out more and more about Spino, the more difficult it would be to create an accurate mon based on Spino. So this is a pretty good compromise. Also, retrosaurs are just great for fictional creature design in general.
Anyway, Baxcalibur is such a cool mon that just like my Skeledirge, I had one traded to me from a friend! While yes, you can find Frigibax in the wild, they’re pretty late in the game. And I got pretty attached to mine! Like all pseudo-legendaries, they take a long time to raise to their full potential, and when my Velkhana finally evolved into Baxcalibur, I just… I felt so proud. My daughter was all grown up into a giant, powerful dragon.
And since she’s the powerhouse of my team, Velkhana’s in some battle here, with a Cetoddle and Glimmet watching.
After all that, you might think that Baxcalibur would be my favorite Paldea mon, and it is indeed among my favorites.
But there’s one final Pokémon left…
