Twotter is ded
Re: Twotter is ded
my theory is that he knows and is banking on the outrage or attention from it. i think he probably regrets buying twitter and is trying to tank it instead of giving it to someone who knows how to run a social media. i dont really have any skin in the twitter game anymore so im just mostly watching from the outside and not super affected by it but it sucks how bad this is for people who are using it for art networking and community. but that’s what forums are for I guess! XD i really hope they become a thing on the internet bc i like the pace of em better. no funky algorithms

See, insanely rich people don't really take criticism. The kind of guy who has multiple billions of dollars lets it get to their head, and thinks that they can make any decision without thinking about the implications of it.Neververy4 wrote: ↑July 31st, 2023, 12:03 am """He still plans to call his streaming and media hosting branch of the company as "Xvideo". There is no way he does not see how pornographic that name comes off as.![]()
You're going to get kids who don't know any better to be like "Well X is the social media site, and the videos on there are called xvideos, let me go search for more xvideos"

I used to think that, but then I remembered his intelligence in most other things, including business decisions. I think he's just a petulant manchild with too much money to understand the concept of failure. He revels in the attention, yes, and will definitely say he planned it all from the get-go (or at least his simps will), but he's doing this entirely because he's still stuck on wanting to name Paypal "X" in the early 00s.
The man is purely stupid and rich, and I wouldn't be surprised if a trained pigeon could beat him at chess.
...to be fair, though, until I see evidence to the contrary, they do seem to be able to make any decision without thinking about the implications of it. Everything they do is punished only with fines, if at all, which basically means it has no repercussions.WyvereWings wrote: ↑July 31st, 2023, 6:29 am See, insanely rich people don't really take criticism. My favorite characters? Um...

I may be a bit biased.
