what's your favorite book?

mine is the seed keeper by diane wilson!

the storytelling is kind of nonlinear which works well with my brain and it talks about things that are important to me even if it's technically fictional!

The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury!!! I grew up on The Illustrated Man and just think Ray Bradbury's writing is the best I've ever read!!! They're both books of mostly unrelated short stories. His work has always been leagues ahead of its time, not just in technology and science fiction with uncanny accuracy, but as well as in social justice and activism, considering most of this work came out before 1960. He's also the same author that wrote Fahrenheit 451, but I think his best work are his short stories

If I had to recommend just one short story, it would be "—AND THE MOON BE STILL AS BRIGHT", which you can read along with the entirety of Martian Chronicles in the link below!!!

[—AND THE MOON BE STILL AS BRIGHT starts on page 60]

Favorite books (as of writing) would definitely be the Wizard School Mysteries books (of which there are currently 2) by William Cope! They're just so much fun to read, with the the worldbuilding, the characters, the mysteries, and the tongue-in-cheek humor built within it all. Plus, there's a lot of middle fingers to that one other book series about wizards ranging in obviousness.
I do need to find some more time to read all the books I have, though...

The HTTYD books are definitely in my planned reading! I've heard good things about them, and I also know they're different from the movies.
