I got ALMOST all of this done in timeNeververy4 wrote: ↑September 29th, 2023, 8:54 am Just bought $110USD at an autoparts store Halloween week is my vacation, and I’m going to be driving a lot bought a bunch of fluids and filters to change things out in preparation for this trip
- Oil fluid/filter, as I will be putting a lot of miles on, and it’s best to do a change right before a big high speed trip
- Fuel/Air filters, as it’s been a while since those have been changed
And then because I’ve been slacking on it, I also got
- Coolant, as it’s been over 1/2 a decade since the last flush, and I’m over double behind on it
- Rear diff gear oil (+ new gasket), as to the best of my knowledge it still has the factory 47 year old oil still in it
- Power steering fluid, as I haven’t changed that at all since buying the car, and while that isn’t REALLY needed as it’s still got some non-black color to it, it wouldn’t hurt and the car will already be on the lift anyways
And then finally,
- Front Brake Pads/Rotors, as I bought those over a year ago and still haven’t put them on
I got a lot of work to get done over the course of the next month. Wish me luck in completing it all
- Didn’t get to the pads/rotors, boss doesn’t have that kind of lift (his is a drive-on, lifts the cars by the tires) and I didn’t have the energy to use a jack and crawl on the gravel ground to do those
- Didn’t do the radiator flush. It’s not lost a drop in years, and the color is still a very healthy green
Anyways here’s a picture of a very happy engine idling, right before I took it 90MPH down the interstate
